We’ve just concluded another successful two-day TM Refresher course in Southampton! It was an engaging session with a fantastic group of delegates, sparking lively debates, especially around a key question: In today’s evolving transport industry, do we really need an HGV/PSV driver license to be an effective TM, or is that thinking a bit… prehistoric?
The metaphorical “dinosaurs” among us might cling to the old ways, but our discussions revealed that the industry is moving forward. Our delegates came from diverse sectors—ranging from large parcel companies and national enforcement agencies to PSV operators and heavy haulage operators. This diversity underscored a key takeaway: the matters we debate are relevant across the board, regardless of background.
