The Secretary of State for Transport has appointed Kevin Rooney as the new Senior Traffic Commissioner, effective from 1 June 2025. Kevin, who has served as Traffic Commissioner for the West of England for 13 years, will continue in that role alongside his new position.
He succeeds Richard Turfitt, who has completed two full terms, leading the Traffic Commissioners through Brexit, the pandemic, and significant digital transformation.
Kevin brings a wealth of experience in transport regulation and enforcement, and we wish him the very best in his new role from everyone at Beverley Bell Consulting and Training.
